Bluegrass Festival / Vendor Craft Fair Sept. 15

Bluegrass fans will have an opportunity to hear five area bands and join in an open jam Sept. 15 when St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Spinnerstown in Upper Bucks County hosts the outdoor event.

The bluegrass festival, which begins at 11 a.m. in the grove across the road from the church, 1565 Sleepy Hollow Road, Spinnerstown (for GPS, Quakertown, 18951), is being held in conjunction with the church’s annual Vendor/Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The bands will perform on the grove’s stage from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., followed by an open jam session at 4 p.m. that will end by 10 p.m. Area musicians – both amateur and professional – are invited to bring their acoustic instruments to join in the jam, which will be facilitated by Doylestown Bluegrass Jam.

Scheduled to perform at the festival are:

11a.m. – Willow Creek
12 p.m. – Homespun Bluegrass
1 p.m. –  Krazie Koyoties
2 p.m. – Without A Paddle
3p.m. – Mail Pouch Express

Serving as MC will be Vince Masciarelli of Philadelphia. Sound is by Rich Freese of Signature Sound.

Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Horr’s Hot Dogs.

Festival-goers are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Admission price is a suggested donation of $5.

Admission to the Vendor/Craft Fair is free. and toiletries; Goin to the Dogs – handmade dog biscuits, toys, soap/shampoo, crochet top kitchen towels; KikaKelly Crafts – homemade diaper wreaths, baby shower gifts, wreaths for all occasions; Serenity Storyboards – storyboards and prayer boxes; At Your Witts End jewelry designs; Susan Williams Designs – Handmade jewelry, wreaths; Forever Crafts – tutus, decorative jars and bags; and Yarn Tangled Baby – crocheted gifts including hats, blankets and booties.
